March 2, 2023: The contractor is currently laying down the final hot mix on the Southside of Brawner Parkway. Once complete, they will move to the Northside. The striping of the roadway is scheduled to begin next week.

November 18, 2022: The contractor has completed the installation of the first layer of asphalt base type B on half of Brawner Parkway. They are currently demolishing the existing roadway on the south side of Brawner Parkway. The project is anticipated to be completed next month.

September 14, 2022: The contractor has completed all driveways on the Southside of Brawner and are currently working on the curbs and gutters in the same area. The contractor is currently working on the curb and gutter on the Northside of Brawner. The contractor is also working on the roadway subgrade and is currently waiting for test samples to be returned from the material testing lab before moving forward with the roadway construction.

July 5, 2022: The contractor has installed a new waterline, fire hydrants, and storm laterals on the North side of Brawner Parkway. They have also installed subgrade and are currently setting geogrid and limestone base for the new roadway. On the South side of Brawner Parkway they have completed 90% of the curbs, gutters, and driveways. Additional design work is needed for the remaining driveways and is currently underway.

April 19, 2022: The Brawner Parkway project contractor has installed new storm water laterals and inlets on the South side of the roadway. They have also installed a new waterline on the South side moving North through the existing ditch. The contractor is currently working on the installation of curb and gutter and expect to continue this work over the coming weeks. Motorist can anticipate a traffic switch on the North side of Brawner Parkway with one-way traffic heading westbound so that the contractor can begin installing a new waterline along the ditch area.

November 19, 2021: The Brawner Parkway project is currently under construction. The contractor is working to install a new sewer line and manholes on the South side of the roadway of Brawner Parkway. Currently 1800’ of waterline has been installed including fire hydrants. Testing will be done on the news waterlines in the coming weeks.
