Commodores Drive Mobility Bridge Project

The Commodores Drive Bridge Project is a privately constructed, TIRZ No. 2 funded project. The proposed 5-lane bridge will connect boat traffic from the north to south sides of Padre Island. Additionally, the open water connection will allow for improved water circulation resulting in improved water quality in the existing dead end canals. The bridge will be a TxDOT standard box beam bridge and allow for 14-feet air draft clearance underneath for boat traffic. Pavement markings and utilities will also be upgraded with this project.
